Honesty Seed Heads -Large handmade dangly silver earrings, perfect as a statement piece part of the botanical collection using local wildflowers

I love to use nature as my inspiration for all my pieces but creations like these are truly special as they use the actual plant themselves.  This pair of earrings have been lovingly hand created by coating honesty seed heads (kindly collected and dried by my Mum from her garden) with layer upon layer of silver clay.  Then once the pieces are thick enough they are fired in my kiln.  During this process the seed head burns away and you are left with its perfect form, now cast in solid silver.  It still feels like magic.

 I tried to get two seed heads that were as close in size as possible but with a natural product it is simply impossible to get them to be identical!

• Width 2cm

They hang from pure sterling silver ear wires (so should be perfect for anyone like me who has a reaction to base metals or silver plated earrings once the silver wears off!).

Presented in an Esther Priestley gift box - these are made from FSC© boxes and the foam insert uses Tall oil – a by-product extracted from trees from paper production, so an eco-friendly design as it doesnt use crude oil.
