Caring for your silver jewellery

Your silver jewellery should last a lifetime if cared for properly.  

You can ensure this by following these top tips:

• Avoid contact with any liquids or gels, cleaning solutions, moisturisers, perfumes and chemicals.  
• Remove your jewellery when cleaning or going to places like swimming pools & jacuzzis!
• Store your jewellery in an air tight container when it is not being worn as this will reduce any humidity & its contact with the air
• Your jewellery should be the last thing you put on when getting ready!

However, if your silver does become tarnished then you can polish it with a silver cleaning cloth.  This has been impregnated with silver polish to remove the tarnish and restore the sparkle.  You can buy one here.

It is the additional metals in sterling silver (925), usually copper, that causes the silver to tarnish.  Since your piece is made from fine silver (999) it has a higher silver content, therefore in theory it should tarnish less!
